Add e-commerce functionality so customers can actually order items from the menu, and then pay via a QR code link on their table, or just pay online (or present an order number to the server).

Thanks for the suggestion. This type of upgrade – online ordering may be added to our forthcoming WordPress edition. However, please bear in mind iMENU is about offering an affordable solution to the problem of not being able to show physical menus. It was not developed to replace servers (waitresses and waiters). And, bear in mind that many restaurants use online ordering systems already (e.g. Just Eat, Deliveroo, UberEats etc) although they pay a high royalty for every order. So, in sum, I think we can come up with a workable solution should it be required. We’ll cover these at the end of the week.

I believe that the following 2 features are important.

1 – OTO2 is a complete website builder for restaurants. Does it have online food ordering integration?
In other words, can visitors order foods online?
This is an essential feature during the pandemic crisis.

2 – The website builder creates a web app and allows users to add the website to their homescreens. Does the web app allow sending push notifications like a progressive web app (PWA)?

The above 2 features are critical for local businesses like restaurants and hair salon, etc.

    Thanks!
    Daniel

      Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your comment. To answer:
      1. Does it have online food ordering integration? In other words, can visitors order foods online?
A: The iMENU was conceived as a smart replacement for physical menus but the system doesn’t do away with having servers (waiters and waitresses). We didn’t include online ordering because this is done by leading food apps like Just Eat and Deliveroo. That said, this is a good idea and we will have options to do this.

      2. Push Notifications – these can be added FREE using https://onesignal.com/

Also, we do have a mobile app platform and it is possible to include iMENUs with food ordering and PNs on that. We are also working on a WordPress version which will open up these options too.
